Packaging
The SureMeat packaging station is comprised of an industrial PC with touchscreen in a Nema 4 enclosure. The system collects the weight of each carton and prints a label according to the specifications required for that product.
The system supports Rice lake scale controllers and a wide variety of printers that are capable of Windows, Datamax DPL or Zebra ZPL interfaces.
As a carton arrives the operator pushes it on the scale and selects the product code from a product code matrix. When the weight is received from the scale the label is printed and a product record is inserted in the database.
Any number of product matrices can be created and these can be operator or station specific. matrices are easy to create and edit and can be done directly by the operator.
The system comes with its own full featured label designer. There is no need to purchase an additional label designer. And since the label designer is integrated, label changes take effect as soon as they are made without any additional importing or binding steps required.
Each station is capable of running standalone or as part of a server based networked system.
A semi-automatic option is also available. With this option the operator no longer needs to handle cartons. The system automatically singulates one carton at a time to the scale conveyor. As the label is printed the carton leaves and the next carton is presented. In this mode the operator is only required to select the product and place the label on the carton.
