Yield Management

SureMeat contains a very powerful batch processing model. Each processing area is considered a unit.

When yield management is turned on, each unit runs a recipe, and a a particular instance of a recipe over a period of time constitutes a batch.

With yield management, raw material transfers into the batch are recorded. The weight transferred out of the batch for each product is recorded by the packaging station.

The system constantly tracks the amount of product produced for a given amount of input and compares that to the recipe.The processing time from input to output for each product is taken into consideration by the model. Large variances are highlighted so that corrective action can be taken immediately while they can still be effective.
